Soft dates with crispy bacon

Ingredients

• Fresh dates

• Thinly sliced breakfast bacon

• Almonds (optional, for extra filling)

• Toothpicks or cocktail sticks

Directions

• Preheat your oven to 200 degrees Celsius.
• If you want to make dates with almonds, carefully cut each date open and place an almond in the center of each date.
• Wrap each date in a thin slice of bacon. Make sure the bacon completely covers the date. You can use a toothpick or cocktail stick to hold the bacon in place.
• Place the dates with bacon on a baking sheet or in a baking dish. Make sure they aren't too close together so the bacon can cook evenly.
• Bake the dates in the preheated oven for about 15–20 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and golden brown.
